• To promote an awareness of and appreciation for Barbershop Harmony within the community.
  

• To improve the singing ability of all chapter members.
  

• To sustain a barbershop chorus as the central visible element of the chapter, which seeks to exemplify the very best in the art form, and in which participation is open to all qualified chapter members.
  

• To encourage barbershop quartet, octet and chorus activities within member communities.
  

• To maintain a regular active schedule of public performances involving the chorus, octets and quartets.
  

• To compete in all chorus contests sponsored by the Atlantic Division, Mid-Atlantic District and Society, when qualified.
  

• To meet member needs for individual satisfaction, pride, and enjoyment of the musical hobby.
  

• To support and utilize Division, District and Society resources in achieving the above.
  

The Society is to be an ever-growing fraternity of barbershop-style singers, leading the cause of encouraging vocal music in our schools and communities.

The offical charity of the Barbershop Harmony Society, coordinating the Society’s charitable mission to “preserve our musical legacy through support of vocal music education in our schools and communities.”
